I am a former high school math teacher, turned insurance agent. I spent 17 years with BCBS and went out on my own in 2011. I started American Benefits Brokerage and retirems.com. I saw where older people were having difficulty understanding Medicare and wanted to help.

I will not sell you a product that I would not use myself. I do not sell Medicare Advantage plans (the ones you see all the former quarterbacks on TV pushing). I do not think they are in the best long-term interest of my clients I do not want a for profit group making my health decisions!

Yes! Once you lose credible drug coverage, you will need to get a Plan D drug card. There are often free drug cards available. If you don't obtain one, a 1% monthly penalty will be applied for not having one.
Several factors can affect the cost of a Medicare Supplement. Age, sex, and whether the individual is a smoker or a non-smoker are factors that change the price. Companies can also charge vastly different prices for the same plan!
