I’m a former high school math teacher turned insurance agent. After spending 17 years with BlueCross BlueShield, I chose to go independent in 2011 and founded American Benefits Brokerage and RetireMS.com.
I made that decision after seeing too many people confused by Medicare — and too often placed into coverage that wasn’t truly in their best interest. My goal has always been simple: help people understand their options and choose coverage with confidence.
When you work with RetireMS, you work directly with me—not a call center or a rotating team of agents.
I’m affiliated with multiple insurance companies, which allows me to shop plans on your behalf. I also review my clients’ coverage each year to make sure they remain in the best position as plans and pricing change.
I only recommend coverage I would choose for myself.

Yes! Once you lose credible drug coverage, you will need to get a Part D drug card. Free drug cards are often available. If you don't obtain one, a 1% monthly penalty will be applied.
Several factors can affect the cost of a Medicare Supplement. Age, sex, and whether the individual is a smoker or a non-smoker are factors that change the price. Companies can also charge vastly different prices for the same plan!
